We designed our system so that you can start out with our simple multi-channel wall mount and hand held remotes for our shade/blind motors and skylight/window openers, then upgrade later to a more advanced system.

Many of our clients find that these simple remotes are all that is needed, but your investment is preserved regardless of any upgrade decision. Any remotes you purchase will continue to function, even if you upgrade to higher levels of automation later.

You can control individual motors with these remotes, create groups, and clone channels to other remotes for multiple control locations.

Here is a very easy phone app system that can 'learn' RF signals from our remote controls. Take a look at our very affordable new blind and shade hub, operated by Android and IOS apps.

The system also has IFTTT event triggering (if-this-then-that), event timers, and IR learning for TV and other media. Your remote controls from Level 1 will continue to operate.

This system is very capable and may well be the only automation system you will ever need. Save a lot of $$$ and convert all your old phones and tablets into powerful WiFi home automation control consoles!

Z-Wave conroller for bottom-up blinds, shades, window/skylight openers Level 3 - Z-Wave™ Control of Blinds & Window/Skylight Openers:
We are now manufacturing our Z-Wave controller that you can use with your favorite Z-Wave hub, such as SmartThings, Vera, Homeseer and Fibaro.

This is a single channel unit that can control many motors simultaneously; it cannot control motors individually. If you want to control each motor individually, you would need a Z-Wave controller for each motor (the BroadLink hub above can control motors individually).

Your controls and phone apps from Level 1 and Level 2 will continue to function with this system; for more information, please see Z-Wave interfacing for motorized blinds, shades and actuators.

These Are Special Motors With Very Low Standby Current

We specialize in very low power motors. and these RF radio motors are "always on", listening for radio commands.

It is therfore important that these motors have a very low current consumption (especially for battery operation). They are rated at 60 microamps (0.00006 amp), an industry leading specification.

You can power these motors with our AC/DC power supplies, plugged into grid power, or you can use a 12v battery (the KIT version comes with power supply).

We also manufacture a slimline external battery wand for 12v DC motors, if you need battery power for your blinds. These are high capacity, USB rechargeable batteries rated for for 340 open/close cycles (tested continuously).

Also, the battery wands do not have to be near the motor if you use 16 guage lamp cord to position them somewhere else, other than in the blind header.

These battery wands use any micro USB adapter to re-charge the internal batteries after many months of use. The battery wand comes with a standard USB cable for recharging.

Our very flexible radio control motors have some notable features:

  • P Series and G Series motors use the same radio RF protocol, only the setup is slightly different.
  • Alexa and Google voice control, timers, temperature and light sensing are also available with the BroadLink RM4 Pro IR/RF hub (see article here; opens new browser tab).
  • If you prefer the Z-Wave protocol, we also manufacture units for Zwave control (see article).
  • Our 5 channel remote control has 5 separate channels + an ALL channel (wall mount & 15 ch are also available).
  • Assign individual channel control to each motor AND group them on a different channel
  • Assign (clone) each motor to different remotes for multiple control points
  • These motors also have a 3rd travel limit setting that falls between the upper and lower limit, so that you can command your shade to go to an intermediate partial open setting.
  • Operate these motors in 'jog mode' for applications requiring small movements (example: adjusting slat angle on Venetian or vertical blinds)
