setting limits without the remote
« on: January 12, 2013, 11:36:45 AM »
Hi, I recently purchased a rollertrol motor and am in the process of setting it up.

I was able to pair it fine using the USB RF controller and RFXmngr program, but am having trouble setting the limits of the motor.

RFXmngr has a "Set Limit" command which seems to work fine. However, it doesn't seem to have "Up" and "Down" commands that would work past the currently set limits.

I tried "Open" and "Close" commands but they don't go past the current limits.

Any help?

Hi @tcghost, the RFXmgr is not capable of setting travel limits yet, as far as I know. You should be able to do that easily with the hand held remotes because you don't need to get anywhere near the actual motor, it's all done by remote control.

If you ordered motors only, without any remotes, please let me know and we'll fire one out to you. It is very easy to set travel limits with a remote, without touching the motor; you can just sit back in an easy chair and do it.

Hi Adrian,

I just purchased the motor with the USB RFX controller to be used with Vera Lite so I figured I didn't need the remote control.
